Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
SpotlessBrowser exists to do one thing well: clear browsing data from your own browser. This page explains, plainly, what that means for your data.
Nothing is collected
The extension does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information, browsing history, or usage statistics. It has no backend server and never communicates with us or any third party. Every action — clearing history, cookies, or cached files — happens locally through Chrome's own browser APIs, entirely on your device.
No accounts required
There's no sign-up, no login, and no request for your name, email address, or any other personal identifier to use the extension.
No tracking, no analytics, no ads
Neither the extension nor this website runs cookies, analytics scripts, ad trackers, or any other technology that monitors what you do.
No third-party sharing
We can't share data with third parties because none is ever collected. The extension doesn't integrate with any outside service.
Permissions
The extension asks only for the browser permissions needed to read and clear browsing data (history, cookies, cache) when you trigger it. Those permissions are used solely for that action and nothing else.
Children
This extension isn't directed at children and is meant for users capable of managing their own browser settings.
Changes to this policy
If anything here changes — for example, a new feature that involves data processing — we'll update this page and revise the date above.
